No charges expected in Oakbrook Terrace crash that sent Burr Ridge motorist to hospital

A two-car crash Friday afternoon in Oakbrook Terrace left one driver hospitalized.

The crash occurred between a 2005 Honda and a 2006 Volvo on southbound Route 83 at Hodges Road, just west of the Oakbrook Center mall, at about 4:15 p.m. Feb. 3.

The 72 year-old male driver of the Honda, a resident of Burr Ridge, was transported to Aventist Hinsdale Hospital by the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District.

The 53 year-old male driver of the Volvo, a Goodfield resident, told police he would seek his own medical attention.

According to Oakbrook Terrace police no charges are expected to be filed.

Information on the injured driver’s condition was not made available.
