BURR RIDGE

Three people were injured Aug. 9 in a fire at an apartment building in unincorporated DuPage County near Burr Ridge.

The fire started in a two-story apartment building at 228 Kingery Quarter in unincorporated Burr Ridge, according to dispatch reports. Tri-State Fire Protecton District Chief Shelli Gibson said the building is in an area of unincorporated DuPage County near Burr Ridge.

The fire was extinguished about 3:30 p.m. and firefighters were “just getting ready to go in” the building about 3:40 p.m. to try and determine the cause and origin of the blaze, Gibson said. She had no details on the extent of the damage, but said there was work being done on the building at the time.

Three people were injured in the fire and taken to hospitals, Gibson said. While she had no information on their conditions or ages, she believed they were all adults. ~.
