DARIEN — Hinsdale South celebrated homecoming with a football game played mostly in a cold drizzle, further dampened by a 17-14 loss to Leyden.

The entire week got a late start when the parade, powder puff football game and bonfire were postponed a day due to threat of rain.

But the celebration went on Friday with students hailing the king and queen (Lauren Awtry and Pierce Andreson), striking up the band and cheering for the Hornets.
