BURR RIDGE — The next mayor of Burr Ridge will be chosen from a three-man slate.
Acting Mayor Robert Sodikoff, John Bittner and Michael Straub will run in the April 9 election. Sodikoff, a member of the Village Board, was appointed acting mayor upon Gary Grasso’s resignation this month.
Grasso’s wife, Janet Ryan Grasso, has added her name to those seeking a seat on the Village Board. She will run for one of three open trustee positions, along with Steven Less, Kathryn Galainena, and Plan Commission members Diane Bolos and Guy Franzese.
Village Clerk Karen Thomas will run unopposed.
Burr Ridge Park Board members Kevin Caplis and Timothy Fara will not face opposition in their quests for another term. Caplis, current board vice president, and Fara are the only candidates in the April race.
Incumbent Michael Orrico will run unopposed for a second term on the three-person Tri-State Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners.
PLEASANT DALE PARK DISTRICT
Willow Springs resident Ernie Moon will run unopposed for a second six-year term on the Pleasant Dale Park District Board. His is the only open position on the board.
INDIAN PRAIRIE LIBRARY
Indian Prairie Library has just two candidates for the four available positions on its Board of Trustees.
Members Luanne Spiros and Paul Oggerino have filed to run in the April election. Incumbents Crystal Megaridis and Robert Thomas did not.~.
