COUNTRYSIDE — Every office in Lyons Township government is being contested in April, with both Republicans and Democrats filing a full slate of candidates.

The current board is made of candidates from both parties after the township parties put together one slate four years ago.

Republican Michael Murray of Countryside will face Democrat William Mundy of Summit in the race for township supervisor.

Incumbent Democratic Clerk Mary Jo Noonan of Western Springs faces a challenge from Republican Dawn M. Araujo of Summit.

Incumbent Democratic Assessor Barbara M. Weyrick of Countryside is being challenged by Republican Raymond Hodson of Justice.

Highway Commission Sean McDermott, a Democrat from Countryside, will face Republican Ed Metz of Lyons.

For the four township trustee positions, Republican candidates are Tom Garrette of Justice, Timothy M. Sprague of La Grange, Yara Misna of La Grange and Jeanne E. Stack of LaGrange Highlands.

Democratic candidates for trustee are Mark Anderson of Lyons, Colleen H. Kelly of Hickory Hills, Frank Geraci of Bedford Park and Keneth T. Getty of Lyons.
