Smoke prompts Lyons evacuation

WESTERN SPRINGS
A smoking burner in a food science class prompted the evacuation of Lyons Township High School students Friday morning at the south campus, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road.
Material got stuck on a stove burner, causing smoke, which tripped the fire alarm, but no fire was reported, a school spokesperson said. Students were evacuated as a precaution.~.
