DARIEN — Sunday’s Chan Concert at Indian Prairie Public Library was a celebration of all things Irish, minus the green beer and leprechauns.
An estimated 150 people came out to see the Trinity Irish Dancers perform their traditional steps and to hear Timoty Robieson and son Josh perform on the bagpipes.
“It was standing room only,” Laura Birmingham, assistant library director, said.
Robieson shared a little about the history and mechanics of the bagpipes before his performance, which followed the dancers.
“I think everyone enjoyed both parts of the program,” Birmingham said.
The free performance was sponsored by the Chan Memorial Fund.
