Don’t miss out on Easter fun in Burr Ridge

BURR RIDGE — There’s still time to get in on many of the Easter festivities planned at the Burr Ridge Park District.

Sherry Stednitz of the park district said all three holiday events planned for March 28 have room for more participants.

“The Bagels With The Bunny is always a go,” said Stednitz, who said there is a waiting list for the annual Saturday-morning egg hunt and breakfast.

But a pair of parties and an outdoor, after-dark egg hunt need more participants in order to take place.

Bunny Bash is new to the park district’s Easter calendar. Set for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 28, it is for children 4 to 7, without parents.

The Easter Bunny will visit while children enjoy lunch, crafts and pictures with the rabbit. Cost is $12 for residents, $15 for nonresidents.

At It’s All About Eggs, set for 6-8 p.m. March 28, children 5 to 9 will dye and decorate their own collection of eggs and crafts. Cost is $20, $25 for nonresidents.

While egg decorating is going on inside, a hunt for glow-in-the-dark eggs will take place in the Harvester Park Wetlands, behind the Community Center.

Children in grades 4 through 8 will use flashlights to hunt for prizes hidden inside the eggs.

Cost is $12, $15 for nonresidents.

All events take place at the Burr Ridge Community Center, 15W400 Harvester Drive.
