Nazareth Academy’s Alumni Association will host its second annual Roadrunner Dash 5k Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. on March 30. The race is open to the public.
The race will begin and end at Nazareth Academy, 1209 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park and the route will take participants through the neighborhood of LaGrange Park.
Registration for the race has already begun. Racers can sign up through SignMeUp: http://www.signmeup.com/site/online-event-registration/98219. The race fees are $35 for adults; $30 for children under 18; $60 for families of four or more. All participants will receive a Roadrunner Dash 5k technical T-shirt. There will be no refunds.
Pre-race day packet pick-up will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at The Runner’s Soul in La Grange. Check-in and race-day registration will be available from 7-8:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 30. Participants will have until 10 a.m. to complete the race. The Roadrunner Dash will be held rain or shine.
As this is an event open to families, children are welcome. Parents with strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. No dogs will be allowed. Refreshments will be available immediately following the race. Awards for all age brackets will be presented at 9:30 a.m. Medals will be awarded to the top males and females in the following categories: 11-14 years old; 15-18 years old; and 19 years old and over, as well as a prize awarded to the overall top finisher.
