Sophomores to watch

They may only be sophomores, but Hinsdale South defensive lineman Josh King and Bolingbrook linebacker Tuf Borland have already started adding offers.

King recently received offers from Iowa, Michigan and Notre Dame to start off his recruitment on a fast note.

“I was pretty excited at first,” King said of his first offer. “I knew once the first offer came there would be many more after it, so I am trying to stay mellow.”

Borland had a big season on the football field for the Raiders and shortly after added an offer from Illinois.

“It was sort of a relief for me getting that first offer,” Borland said. “I kind of felt a pressure to get my first offer. But I know with that offer comes a target on my back. That just motivates me more to keep working and keep improving on my game.”
