Boys basketball: Hinsdale South senior gets a buzz cut for charity

NAPERVILLE — Larry Motuzis was Hinsdale South’s top scorer this season, but that wasn’t the only way he led the Hornets.

The Lithuanian-born guard from Darien was involved in his school’s St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser and was the only varsity boys basketball player who had his head shaved to raise money to support children with cancer.  

Motuzis played with a buzz cut when Hinsdale Central defeated Hinsdale South 63-47 in the Class 4A Naperville Central Regional semifinal on March 4.
