DuPage County Sheriff arrests ‘Manhunt Monday’ sexual predator

Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced today the arrest of one of his Manhunt Monday fugitives, a Bellwood man who has been taken into custody and charged with sexually assaulting an unincorporated Willowbrook victim.

Albert C. Scott, 29, of the 1000 block of Eastern, in Bellwood was arrested this morning and charged with one felony count of Criminal Sexual Assault which is a class 1 felony.

On January 18 at approximately 8:35 pm the Sheriff’s Office received the call of the alleged Criminal Sexual Assault that occurred in unincorporated Willowbrook. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the residence where the incident occurred. It is alleged that suspect went to the residence to retrieve some items he had left at the victims. Scott became upset with the victim, sexually assaulted the victim and fled the residence.

Sheriff’s Detectives have been pursuing all leads, in which resulted in a possible location of the suspect. Sheriff’s Detectives, with assistance from the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task force took Scott into custody and he is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
