Two Lyons Township High School student-artists earned silver medals in the 2014 National Scholastic Art Awards.
Senior Chloe Tausk of Western Springs earned a silver medal for an Art Portfolio and senior Elizabeth Abbs of La Grange earned a silver medal for a Mixed Media piece.
Abbs’ winning piece is entitled “My Grandma’s House” and Tausk’s portfolio included eight pieces in the following categories: four mixed media, one sculpture, one printmaking and two photographs.
