The Hinsdale High School District 86 Board has hired Naperville resident William B. Eagan III as its chief financial officer effective April 14.
Eagan, a certified public accountant and certified managerial accountant, fills a position that had been vacant since the resignation of the district’s previous business manager Jeff Eagan (no relation) last July. Since that time, the district’s business operations had been overseen by interim business managers.
Eagan will join District 86 following an eight-year tenure with Kraft Foods, where he served in a variety of finance and accounting positions, including his most recent role as plant controller. Eagan led management, reporting and planning such as budgeting analysis, ensuring the integrity of financial records and providing oversight for related compliance controls. He also spearheaded forecasting and analysis efforts, cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives and capital appropriations.
Eagan served as a senior financial analyst with HSBC and Experian. He had previously worked as a financial analyst at Abbott Laboratories.
Eagan earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Northern Illinois University, as well as master’s degrees in business administration and accounting and financial management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
