1. Film Discussion: ’20 Feet From Stardom,’ 7 p.m. Friday

Backup singers live in a world that lies just beyond the spotlight. 2. Local Chef: Kama Indian Bistro, noon Saturday

Chef Vikram of Kama Indian Bisto will prepare fresh halibut with an orange-peach-ginger sauce and a salad with yogurt dressing. 3. ‘Les Misérables,’ 5 p.m. Saturday

The Tony Award-winning musical production comes to Oakbrook Terrace to celebrate Drury Lane Theatre’s 30th anniversary season. A French peasant seeks to redeem himself after serving a 19-year prison sentence by helping an orphan and a group of young idealists at the height of the revolutionary period. Production runs from March 29 to June 8. Additional performances Thursdays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8:45 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace.
