Lake Park and Lyons met in the Conant Invitational final for the third consecutive time Friday night and the Lancers claimed the rubber match.

Lake Park won 25-20, 25-21 to beat Lyons for the second time in three years for the tournament title. Lake Park senior Quin Krisik had 25 assists to engineer a quick-tempo offense that produced at least three players with six or more kills.

Despite the absence of starting senior outside hitter Dominick Terry for unspecified reasons, Lake Park (4-0) looked like it was on cruise control.

“We sped up the offense a lot in the offense to make it hard for [opponents],” coach Tim Murphy said. “Teams have to go in transition more and Quin makes good decisions.”
