The Lyons Township High School Relay for Life is turning up the volume and its fundraising efforts by hosting a dance marathon from 3:30-11:30 p.m. on April 25 in the South Campus Fieldhouse, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, Western Springs.

Students and community members may sign up via the website at www.relayforlife.org/LTHSIL, and pay a $10 registration fee.

Registrants are welcome to dance from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The dancing will pause halfway through the evening to make time for the traditional events that make Relay for Life special, including speakers and a luminaria ceremony followed by walking laps. At the conclusion of the luminaria ceremony, the music and dancing will resume and continue for the remainder of the evening until 11:30 p.m. for those who raise $75 or more in contributions. To date, nine teams and 24 participants have raised more than $1,700.
