The Roadrunners built a lead in both games against T.F. North and never trailed, winning 25-16 and 25-13 over the visiting Meteors on Friday in LaGrange Park.
After fighting off a late surge from T.F. North in the Game 1, the Roadrunners ran out to a 12-4 lead in Game 2 that put the Meteors on their heels. Trailing 18-6, T.F. North called a timeout to try to stem the tide but the Roadrunners’ early momentum keyed the win and kept the match to two sets.
Nazareth senior Dan Hubert led the team with six kills and two aces. He finished second in digs with two, behind dig-leader Steven Patchak with four.
