Cashier faces theft charges in Burr Ridge

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BURR RIDGE

ALCOHOL

Bradley T. Summers, 34, of 8944 Poppy Lane, Indianapolis, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. April 5 on North Frontage Road and Madison and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol, expired registration and improper lane use.

DRUGS

James M. Meyer, 28, of 434 S. Lincoln St., Hinsdale, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. March 31 on the 8500 block of state Route 83 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license. Meyer allegedly had two plastic bags containing a white powder that field tested positive for heroin.

THEFT

Rinkalben G. Patel, 33, of 8128 Scenic Drive, Willow Springs, was arrested at about 12:35 p.m. March 31 and charged with theft of more than $500. Patel was a cashier at the Brookhaven Market, at 100 Burr Ridge Parkway, and is accused of stealing money from the cash register over a period of years.

DARIEN

ALCOHOL

Lorena Salazar, 37, of 3A Kingery Quarter, Willowbrook, was arrested March 29 on the 7500 block of Clarendon Hills Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Her court date is April 29.

Ugne Stulgaite, 18, of 7618 W. 62nd Place, Summit, was arrested March 30 at 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane use and under age consumption of alcohol. Her court date is May 6. Also charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, in the same incident, were Evaldas Skapas, 20, and Paulius Puhtejavas, 20, both of 6721 Park Lane, Westmont.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

A 51-year-old Darien woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery on March 25.

DRUGS

Steven Lou, 36, of 1633 Claremont, Darien, was arrested April 6 on the 1500 block of Claremont and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and not having a drivers license.

On April 2, Desiree Lanagan, 19, of 6720 Aspen, Westmont, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, speeding and driving with a suspended/revoked license at 67th and Tall Pines. Her court date is April 24.

Abdullah Hanif, 46, of 2209 Covington, Plainfield, was arrested on the 8300 block of Lemont on April 4, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is May 7 in Aurora.

Charles Kagan, 20, of 7819 Pine Parkway, Darien, on March 29 was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia on the 7900 block of Cass Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT

Laith Abuswailem, 20, of 6163 Knollwood, Willowbrook, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, at 2189 75th Court, on March 26.

Mitch Atkinson, 23, of 5512 Lyman, Downers Grove, was charged with retail theft at WalMart, at 2189 75th St., on March 31. His court date is April 29.

Samantha Grynevich, 19, of 31 58th St., Clarendon Hills, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, 2189 75th St., on March 31.

Julie Delgado, 47, of 7928 Grant, Darien, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, 2189 75th St. on April 1.

Ashley Green, 24, of 74 E. 102nd St., Chicago, was issued a citation for retail theft at Walgreen’s pharmacy, at 7516 Cass Ave., on April 7.

Tamara Bultinck, 34, of 4112 Elm St., Downers Grove, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, 2189 75th St. on March 25.

WILLOWBROOK

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Matthew E. Davidson, 23, of the 7700 block of 45th Street, Lyons, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 7600 block of Quincy Street at 1:23 p.m. April 5.

DRUGS

Eric A. Baumbach, 19, of the 200 block of Argonne Ridge Road, Willowbrook, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the 7000 block of Adams Street at 9:17 p.m. March 29.

TRESPASSING

Daniel A. Awe, 19, of the 7400 block of Tennessee Drive, Willowbrook, was arrested at 10:33 a.m. March 25 on the 7400 block of Tennessee Drive and charged with trespassing.
