Joffrey Gala

The Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet will host its annual Spring Gala 6:30 p.m. April 25 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy, Chicago. Hunt for Health

Robert Crown Center for Health Education will hold its annual Hunt for Health scavenger hunt on Saturday, April 26. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. It begins and ends at Immanuel Hall, 302 S. Grant St. Teams of eight to 10 adults (21 or older) will go on a whirlwind search for clues that have been strategically placed throughout downtown Hinsdale. The Human Race

Giving DuPage will host the third annual “The Human Race” 5K Run/Fitness Walk at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 26, at The Esplanade at Locust Point in Downers Grove. Walkers and runners designate a charity to receive the donation from their race registration fee. March registration is $35 per walker and $40 per runner. Kitchen Shower

Hinsdale Humane Society will throw a Kitten Shower 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 at the shelter, 22 N. Elm St., Hinsdale. Visitors will enjoy games, raffles, face painting, beverages, treats and other activities that celebrate kittens and raise awareness about the feline overpopulation crisis. Attendance is free, but guests are asked to donate supplies to help HHS care for its kittens. Kitchen Tour

The Elmhurst Junior Women’s club will hold its 12th Elmhurst Kitchen Expedition on Sunday, April 27th from 12-5 p.m. Attendees will tour 6 homes in Elmhurst with a focus on the kitchens and dining areas. Tickets are just $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event. Tickets are available for advance purchase at The Uptown Shop, Access Sports, and Dan Wangler Builders. Dan Wangler Builders, 138 W. Make-A-Wish Ball

The Make-A-Wish Wish Ball 2014 will be held Saturday, May 3 at Soldier Field, 1410 Museum Campus Drive, Chicago. The evening will include celebrity entertainment, live and silent auctions, a seated dinner and dancing. Tickets are $600 per person, $6,000 per table or $12,000 perpremium table. Salute Gala

Advocate Christ Medical Center will hold its 2014 Salute Gala:Fire & Ice on Saturday, May 3 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown, 540 N Michigan Ave, Chicago. Chicago House will host its 27th Annual Spring Brunch and Fashion Show at the Harold Washington Library, 400 S. State St, Chicaog, Sunday, May 4 from 12 – 3:30 p.m. The afternoon includes brunch, silent auction and a fashion show presented by local boutiques and student fashion designers from Columbia College. DuPage Senior Citizens Council will host its third annual Dancing with the Starz: A Blockbuster Gala on Saturday May 10 6-11 p.m. at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace. Elmhurst Art Museum will host Soirée 2014, A Benefit for Elmhurst Art Museum on Saturday, May 10 at the museum, 150 S Cottage Hill Ave, Elmhurst. In addition, guests can bid on silent auction items and participate in a live auction featuring artwork from renown contemporary artists. Alzheimer’s Gala

The 27th annual Alzheimer’s Association Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala will take place 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago. Legendary Chicago Bears head coach and Super Bowl XX Champion Mike Ditka will serve as guest emcee for the evening. Tickets start at $500 per person and $5,000 per table. Zoo-ologie

The Auxiliary Board of the Lincoln Park Zoo will host Zoo-ologie 2014 8 p.m.-midnight May 17 at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Proceeds help feed the animals and keep Lincoln Park Zoo free 365 day per year. Tickets are $100 until April 18, $115 after April 18, $125 at the door and $165 for VIP admission. The event is 21 and over. FLW Housewalk

The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust will hold its 40th annual architectural housewalk on Saturday, May 17. The All Wright 2014 housewalk will feature rare interior tours of private homes and public buildings, all designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in his Oak Park Studio.
