The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Marco Albores, 31, of 150 W. Wood, New Lenox, was arrested April 11 on the 8200 block of Cass Avenue and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving on a suspended or revoked drivers license.
Scott Brozek, 26, of 907 Curtis, Downers Grove, was arrested April 12 on the 8000 block of Lemont Road, and charged with driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane use. His court date is May 21 in Wheaton.
Paola Zamora, 20, of 201 Cass Ave., Westmont, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, at 2189 75th St., on April 8.
Laura Tuider, 50, of 7363 Grand Ave., Downers Grove, was issued a citation for retail theft at WalMart, at 2189 75th St. on April 10.
Jazmine Thomas, 18, of 6831 Harvest, Woodridge, was issued a citation for retail theft at Walmart, 2189 75th St. on April 11.
Stefanie Calderone, 26, of 7811 Brompton, Darien, was arrested April 9 and charged with theft and attempted identity theft. Her court date is May 13 in Wheaton.
Francisco lvarez, 34, of 407 Charlestown Drive, Bolingbrook, was issued a citation April 13 for criminal trespass to property on the 1700 block of Plainfield Road.
Renae L. Jaime, 32, of the 1500 block of Lakeview Drive, Willowbrook, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. April 12 at the intersection of 75th Street and Eleanor Place, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, improper lane use and not wearing a seatbelt.
Someone phoned in a phony prescription to the Walgreens pharmacy, at Madison and Plainfield roads. The pharmacist was suspicious about the prescription, which was for a type of narcotic, and notified the police. Officers were at the Walgreens at 8:25 p.m. April 10, when a man came and picked up the medication. They arrested him and two people waiting in a vehicle for him. Darnell D. Wiley, 25, of the 5700 block of Bishop, in Chicago, Randy Jefferson, 24, of the 6400 block of Normal Boulevard in Chicago, and Terry Cunningham, 30, of the 5600 block of Justine Street in Chicago, were each charged with attempted illegal acquisition of a controlled substance. Wiley also was charged with possession of marijuana.
