Lyons Township High School seeks cars for auto show

The Lyons Township High School Car Care Club is hosting its second annual Spring Car Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17 at the school’s north campus parking lot, 100 S. Brainard Ave., La Grange. The club hopes to secure 100 to 200 cars at the show. This is an all vehicles show open to the general public. All types of vehicles are welcome — hot rods, show cars, rat rods, imports, euros, muscle cars, drag cars, sound competition cars, super cars and rock crawlers. It’s free to attend and to enter a car.

Best of Show trophies will be awarded in the following categories.

• Overall Best of Show (1st, 2nd and 3rd Place)

• 1900-1947: Vintage

• 1948-1981: Classic Muscle

• 1982-Present: Modern Muscle

• Import/Tuner

• Truck/SUV/Rock Crawler

• Sound System

• Super Car — Viper, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Austin Martin, Z06, GTR, etc.

WLTL Radio 88.1 will broadcast live and the club’s Engine Rebuild Team will rebuild an entire engine in less than 35 minutes. There also will be carnival games for kids and adults and food will also be available for purchase. Tour will be available of the LT Auto Shop.

Space is limited; auto owners are encouraged to pre-register online at www.lths.net/AutoShow. On site registration is scheduled for 9-9:45 a.m. on May 17.
