Joakim Noah named NBA Defensive Player of the Year

Chicago Bulls player Joakim Noah will be named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year. According to the Chicago Sun-Times

The NBA will announce at 4 p.m. today that Joakim Noah has been named the Defensive Player of the Year for the 2013-14 regular season, according to a Bulls source.

Noah joined Michael Jordan as the second Bulls player to earn the award, as the All-Star center averaged 11.3 points per game this year, as well as 1.51 blocks for one of the elite defensive units in the NBA.
