Mommy and Me Garden Party, 11:30 a.m. May 3, Vernon Hills

Moms and little ones are invited for an afternoon that includes a light lunch from Dave and Buster’s, family entertainment and pampering for mom. Westfield Hawthorn Shopping Center, 122 Hawthorn Center.

VIPink Weekend, noon May 3, Skokie

Celebrate Mother’s Day early with Westfield Old Orchard and shop for a cause at the VIPink weekend. The VIPink card, available in exchange for a $10 donation to nonprofit Bright Pink, entitles shoppers to 20 percent off their favorite retailers. Those who purchase the VIPink card can join fun festivities that include a pink lipstick bar, pink drinks, candy and treats, a live DJ, kids’ crafts and a Mother’s Day contest. Westfield Old Orchard Mall, 4999 Old Orchard Center.

Mother’s Day Crafting Event, 2 p.m. May 3, Highland Park

Sprout Kids co-sponsors this craft event with Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore, 654 Central Ave. Each downtown Highland Park store will have an arts and crafts table set up for kids to craft their own presents for mom, just in time for Mother’s Day. Munchies for Mother’s Day, 2 p.m. May 3, Lincolnshire

Mother/Daughter Tea Party, 1 p.m. May 4, Winnetka

Mother’s Day Sale, 9 a.m. May 5, Glenview

The Glenview Senior Center presents their Mothers Day Craft Sale in the main lobby of the center.
