Crime briefs: Patio door kicked in by unknown person

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the area police departments.

Burr Ridge


  • A 2010 Toyota was struck on the driver’s side by a vehicle that left the scene at 3:12 p.m. April 26 at Illinois 83 and Central Avenue.
  • A 2010 Chevrolet was hit on the passenger side by an unknown vehicle about 4:50 p.m. April 28 while parked on the 1000 block of Burr Ridge Parkway.


  • Nothing was reported missing at 10:31 a.m. April 23 from a home on the 6400 block of Manor Drive after a rear patio door was kicked in by an unknown person.



  • Someone stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on the 100 block of Janet on April 20.
  • Someone took a cellphone from a locker at Hinsdale South High School, at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road, on April 17. It was unknown if the locker was locked.
  • A student at Hinsdale South High School, at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road, reported someone took his headphones on April 17.
  • Someone cut the lock on a gate and stole several plastic totes from a fenced-in area behind Walgreens drugstore, at 7516 Cass Ave. on April 16.



  • Someone damaged a window on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of MacArthur Drive. The damage was reported at about 6:05 a.m. April 22. It was estimated to cost $250 to replace the window.
