Chicago-based Laura Dion-Jones is no stranger to a fast-paced life in the realm of fashion and society.
She was the first notable plus-size model back in the ’60s and soon became the most in demand. Dion-Jones enjoyed the success that life can bring for a while, but it didn’t take long to realize that health and fitness were critical components of a long and happy life.
Years later, Dion-Jones is a pro-health activist, Corporate Wellness Coach, Certified Wellness Coach, radio show host, and motivational weight loss and lifestyle speaker/writer.
“Commit to Get Fit” Laura Dion-Jones’ new diet and fitness book and it is for everyone who has tried everything in the past and nothing worked. The book, published by Original Cosmo Girl Press, recently had its national release.
Dion-Jones says that she shoots straight from the hip; pulls no punches, walks the walk and walks the talk. The advice and programs are accountability-based and help people take personal responsibility for their weight, fitness, and their lives; once and for all.
Dion-Jones will appear at 3 p.m. on May 10, at Barbara’s Bestsellers in Burr Ridge Center Village, 810 Village Center Drive, Burr Ridge. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, see http://www.commit-fit.com.
