Crime briefs: Several cellphone thefts reported at Hinsdale South

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the area police departments.

Burr Ridge

PROPERTY DAMAGE

  • A woman discovered another vehicle had struck her 2010 Chevrolet in the parking lot at 1000 Burr Ridge Parkway between 8:25 a.m. and 4:51 p.m. April 28, damaging the passenger side door and rear quarter panel.
  • A driver reported a large black vehicle struck her 2012 Toyota as she was stopped at the traffic signal at Central and state Route 83 at about 3:15 p.m. April 26. The other vehicle struck her driver’s side, as the driver turned onto Central and then drove off.

THEFT

  • An employee at King Bruwaert House, at 6101 County Line Road, reported someone stole her wallet from her office between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. April 28.

Darien

THEFT

  • An unattended cellphone was reported stolen from a shelf at Hinsdale South High School, at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road on April 22.
  • A cellphone was reported taken sometime during school hours April 22, at Hinsdale South High School, at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road.
  • A cellphone was reported taken from a student’s backpack at Hinsdale South High School, at 7401 Clarendon Hills Road on April 24.
  • A flag was reported stolen from a porch on the 500 block of 69th Street on April 28.
