The LTHS Marching Lions became stars of their own Disney show April 26, when they entertained guests in Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The student performers, under the direction of Mark Dahl and Paul Meiste, greeted guests of the park as they marched down Main Street U.S.A. taking them past Cinderella Castle. The students helped to get the crowd excited before the Main Street Electrical Parade.

The band also participated in the Disney Performing Arts workshop You’re Instrumental, where students learned how to get the most of their rehearsals and honed their sight-reading skills under the guidance of an experienced Disney teaching artist. The flag unit took part in Disney’s Auxiliration workshop, where they participated in a simulated production performance complete with tall flag, swing flag and show props.

This was the marching band’s fifth visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts Program.
