Maybe the Burr Ridge Police Department should get a show on the Animal Planet television network.

Just before 9 a.m. May 25, a resident called the police to report a sick or injured frog was near the intersection of Falling Waters Drive and Sylan Glen. An officer went to the location, found the frog and placed it in one of the ponds in the Falling Waters subdivision.

The next day, at about 2:50 p.m. May 26, someone reported seeing a 3-foot snake near the bridge next to the intersection of 91st Street and Drew Avenue. An officer told the caller to be careful and he would notify the proper authorities.

Later that day, just before 8 p.m., homeowners notified police that a deer, which might have been injured, was lying on their porch. Before the police arrived, the deer got up and left. The officer could not find the deer.
