Sinfonietta Ball

Chicago Sinfonietta will host its annual ball, themed Rethink, Redefine, Reimagine, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at The Fairmont Chicago Millenium Park, 200 N. Columbus Dr., Chicago. The black-tie event includes a cocktail reception, dinner and a full performance of the orchestra under the baton of Maestro Chen and featuring surprise performers. Tickets are $400. Pet Walk

The Hinsdale Humane Society will host its 25th annual Pet Walk walk-a-thon and fundraiser on Sunday, June 1 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Katherine Legge Memorial Park, 5901 S. County Line Road in Hinsdale. The event is the shelter’s largest fundraiser and includes frisbee dogs, K-9 police dog demonstrations, agility demonstrations, pet contests and psychic pet readings. Registration fee is $25 per adult; children under 13 are free. Dogs are welcome at the event and are also free. Interfaith House gala

Interfaith House will host its 20th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, June 5th from 6-10 p.m. at The Montgomery Club, 500 W. Superior, Chicago. The event will include a cocktail hour, a three-course dinner and entertainment by Broadway performer Mike Eldred. Gary Metzner, senior vice president of Sotheby’s,will lead the live auction. LeaderShop 5K

The LeaderShop will host the 2014 La Grange Rocks 5K event on Friday, June 6. Individuals and families can run, walk or push a stroller to live music. Registration fees vary from $30-$40 and family registration fees vary $80-$120. Mayslake benefit

Mayslake Peabody Estate will be hosting a 1919-themed fundraiser, Glad Rags and Giggle Water, 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at the estate, 1717 W. 31st Street, Oak Brook. The adults-only event will take guests back to the year construction began on Mayslake, including the styles and trends of the jazz era and prohibition days. Walk for CareNet

The 2014 annual Walk for CareNet will be held Saturday, June 14 from 9-11 a.m. at four separate DuPage County locations: Hinsdale, Wheaton, Naperville and Wood Dale. The Naperville site will also host a 5K run. The Hinsdale walk will begin at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. 4th St. This year’s event includes a virtual walk, allowing supporters to walk “without their shoes” by fundraising online. Drive for 75

Continental Motors Group of Naperville and DuPage Pads will hold their fourth annual karting enduro on Sunday, June 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet. Fifteen teams will compete with a goal of reaching $75,000 by race day. Space is limited. The minimum fundraising goal per team is $2,500. Goombay Bash

The H Foundation’s 14th annual Goombay Bash will be held 5 p.m.-midnight Saturday, July 12 at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier, 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago. Special guest will be Chicago Bear Kyle Long. Proceeds benefit Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University to support basic science cancer research. Tickets are $150 per person, $250 VIP.
