DuPage Seniors Council dances for their stars

Chicago celebrities put on their dancing shoes to benefit the elderly at the third annual Dancing with the Starz gala hosted by the DuPage Senior Citizens Council.

More than 370 guests were in attendance on May 10 at the Drury Lane Grand Ballroom in Oakbrook Terrace and were treated to the dance moves of TV personalities, radio hosts, sports stars and local heroes.

Dance pros from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio partnered with the local talent and later performed for the guests.

The evening raised $82,000 for the DuPage Senior Citizens Council, a not-for-profit that provides programs and services for seniors, including home-delivered meals (Meals on Wheels), community dining, home maintenance and chore days, health and wellness education, and well-being checks.
