Hinsdale Central’s multi-sport star wraps up legendary career

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — Hinsdale Central’s Chase Hamilton is the kind of athlete who’s only supposed to exist in television shows.

During his senior year alone, he was the quarterback of the football team and directed the Red Devils to the playoffs. He hit a game-winning layup to clinch a sectional title for the basketball team. And, in his swan song, he was runner-up in doubles with Lope Adelakun at the boys tennis state tournament that wrapped up on Saturday.

“He’s a once-in-a-lifetime athlete,” Hinsdale Central tennis coach John Naisbitt said. “We’re so blessed to have him as part of our team.”
