Christian D. Reich of Burr Ridge graduated from The University of Tampa. Reich graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in new media production. Reich was a member of the Honors Program and Phi Kappa Phi. He received the Spartan Leadership Award and 2014 Outstanding New Media Production Award, and was the president of University of Tampa Gay Lesbian Transgender Straight Bisexual Asexual Pride He is a 2010 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School.

Students who have been selected to study abroad this summer with the University of Iowa CIMBA Italy program will be for four weeks in Paderno del Grappa, Italy at the base of the Italian Alps. While abroad, students complete six credit hours in the areas of business, journalism, communication, Italian and engineering. Students have the opportunity to indulge in Italian culture through excursions in local towns, participate in international company tours, network with students from around the globe, and travel Europe during two extended weekends. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Luce Scholars Program, the National Science Foundation and other national organizations have awarded postgraduate scholarships and fellowships to members of the University of Notre Dame’s Class of 2014. Matthew Cook, Burr Ridge, received a Luce Scholarship, which supports a one-year professional placement and cultural immersion experience in Asia for individuals who have limited experience of Asia and a record of high academic achievement, leadership ability and clearly defined interests with evidence of potential for professional accomplishments.
