Jack Beneventi already has plans to pack his bags and head to the University of Iowa in 2015.

He’ll also be making another move before that one. Beneventi and his family are moving to Oak Park and Beneventi is transferring from Benet to Fenwick. Fenwick went 10-3 last fall and won the Catholic League White.

As a two-year starting quarterback at Benet, the 6-6 senior led the Redwings into the playoffs two consecutive seasons, including to the Class 7A semifinals in 2012.

He has thrown for 3,800 yards and 27 touchdowns and was heavily recruited before choosing Iowa.

“They came by and visited the school last week and I briefly met with him on [June 5],” Fenwick coach Gene Nudo said. “It’s all happened very fast.”

Nudo also said that Gavin Graves, a 6-foot, 180-pound rising junior who started at quarterback on Mundelein’s varsity the past two seasons, is also transferring to Fenwick, giving the team two new options at quarterback to replace Gino Cavalieri.
