Football: Hinsdale Central players still waiting on new coach

School ended Friday for Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South, but new Central football coach Dan Hartman isn’t quite ready to start leading offseason workouts.

Hartman is still teaching at Evergreen Park and classes aren’t over at that south suburban school until June 17.

While Hinsdale South coach Mike Barry — another former Evergreen Park teacher — started his fourth season of Hornets practice at 6 a.m. Monday, Hartman will wait until next week to see his new team in action for the first time.
