June 13 marked the start of Chicago Bike Week, and the city is hosting lots of fun (and free!) cycling events around the city.
Bike Chicago Film in Millennium Park featuring Rushmore
When: Monday, June 15, 8:30 p.m.
Where: Millennium Park, Pritzker Pavilion (201 E. Randolph St.)
What: The 1998 coming of age film about a high school student from the prestigious Rushmore Academy who moves with ease from one extracurricular activity to the next via his trusty bicycle.
Divvy Style Pop-up Shops
When: Tuesday, June 18, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Federal Plaza Farmers Market (230 S. Dearborn)
What: Celebrate Divvy and bike fashion with pop-up shops for men and women from some of Chicago’s very own designers and boutiques at the Federal Plaza Farmers Market.
Near North Bike Tour
When: Wednesday, June 18, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Buckingham Fountain
What: Led by Lee Diamond of Chicago Neighborhood Bike Tours, join for a FREE two-hour tour of the Near North Side.
Life Time Cycle Palooza
When: Thursday, June 19, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Cloud Gate in Millennium Park (201 E. Randolph St.)
What: Join 200+ fellow cyclists for a FREE evening outdoor spin class complete with DJ and a certified instructor. Bikes will be available on first come, first serve basis.
