Burr Ridge classic car show draws more than 100 rare cars

Fans of classic cars had a field day Sunday with more than 100 automobiles at the Burr Ridge Village Center.

The annual Classics at the Center car show had classic, exotic and rare high-end automobiles on display, with live entertainment to enjoy while viewing the vehicles.

But for car owners, it wasn’t just a chance to show off their auto and view others. The event offered trophies to the winners in two categories, classic and late model.

In the first group, the winners and their vehicles were:

• Martin Greenberg, first place, 1994 Toyota Supra Turbo

• Joseph Orednick, second place, 1932 Chevrolet five-window coup

• Nick Guisto, third place,1967 Mustang Shelby GT350

The second group car winners:

• Robert Jensen, first place, 1965 Corvette convertible

• Don Stevens, second place, 1937 LaSalle 50 Convertible Coupe

• George Hansen, third place, 1957 Ford Thunderbird
