Jenny Behan, Jr., 3B, Carmel

The third baseman batted .636 with runners in scoring position and hit .504 overall to break her own school record. She scored 42 runs, homered a school-record 18 times, drove in 55 runs and was nominated for Gatorade’s Illinois Player of the Year.

Jenna Cairo, Sr., OF, Fenwick

The three-year starter and NCAA Division II Lewis recruit led the Friars in batting (.466), doubles (14), home runs (eight), RBI (28) and runs (38).

Maria DeVito, Jr., 2B/3B, Mundelein

DeVito was named to the Sun-Times all-star team, which will play an exhibition game against the Bandits’ travel team. DeVito hit .524 with 12 homers and 53 RBI and scored 52 runs.

Libby Foster, Sr., 1B, Oak Park-River Forest

Foster guided the revived Huskies (27-10) to a sectional championship by leading the team in home runs (eight) and RBI (42). She batted .438 and scored 26 runs.

Amanda Guercio, Fr., C., Lake Zurich

Guercio was selected to the Sun-Times all-star team for freshmen and sophomores. She batted .443 with 11 home runs, 42 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Allison Quigley, Sr., P, New Trier

Quigley (18-2) led the Trevians to conference and regional championships with a 0.61 ERA, 223 strikeouts and 21 walks in 138 innings pitched. She’s heading to Middlebury College in Vermont.

Courtney Richardson, Jr., OF, Maine South

Richardson played all 206 innings of the Hawks’ 33-game season. She batted .440 with 40 runs, 19 doubles, five homers and 29 RBI.

Maria Schroeder, Sr., 3B, Lake Zurich

The Sun-Times all-star pick batted .842 in the postseason for the sectional finalists. The Bradley recruited batted .593 and had 18 doubles, six homers, 42 RBI and 45 runs for the year.

Becky Gruber, Sr., DP, Elmwood Park
