Golf: Hinsdale Central senior Brian Dolehide continues working on his game

Brian Dolehide is competing in as many golf tournaments as he can play this summer.

The rising senior, who helped lead the Red Devils to the Class 3A state championship last fall, is scheduled to play in one of his biggest tournaments of the summer this week. The 45th Illinois State Junior Amateur at Makray Memorial Golf Course in Barrington was set to tee off on Tuesday.

He qualified for the event by winning the first qualifier June 7 with a 2-under-par 70 at Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport. That was a good day on the green for the Hinsdale resident.
