Oak Brook’s TreeHouse Foods buys snack maker Flagstone Foods for $860 million

Oak Brook-based TreeHouse Foods is buying another company, yet again, according to the Chicago Sun-Times:

TreeHouse Foods Inc. said Monday it will buy private-label snacks maker Flagstone Foods for $860 million.

Oak Brook-based TreeHouse said Flagstone is among the largest makers and distributors of private-label healthy snacks in North America, especially trail mix and dried fruit. Flagstone is based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and employs about 1,365 people. The company reported sales of $697 million in 2013.
