Darien Fourth of July parade marches on

Tearing up 75th Street couldn’t stop patriots from marching or lining the route for the Darien Fourth of July parade.

Organizers just altered the route around a few blocks to keep the tradition alive, celebrate the nation’s independence and, according to organizers, make Darien a terrific place to live.

Scouting groups, the Hinsdale South band, businesses and, of course, politicians helped entertain parade-goers along the route on Cass Avenue, 71st Street and Clarendon Hills Road.
