Nazareth Academy 7 – Willowbrook 2

RIVER FOREST — Nazareth was missing its top player, but others contributed during the Phil Lawler Fenwick Regional final Thursday.

Catcher Shane Gipson hit a two-run home run and right-handed pitcher Chris Campagna allowed only one run and four hits in 5 2/3 innings as the second-seeded Roadrunners defeated fourth-seeded Willowbrook (20-8) 7-2 at the Priory.

Their contributions were much appreciated after junior infielder/pitcher Brandon Bossard missed the game after getting spiked in the leg earlier in the playoffs.
