American Legion Post 1941 in La Grange will install new Officers

The first female Commander in 70 years will be installed. Read the release:
Western Suburbs, IL, August 16, 2014:  The American Legion, Robert E. Coulter, Jr. Post 1941 in La Grange will have their installations of new officers on Saturday, August 16, at 5:30 p.m.  The installation will be held in the Grand Coulter Hall, American Legion, Robert E. Coulter, Jr. Post #1941 located at 900 S. La Grange Road in La Grange.  Georgiann “Gigi” Callaway has been elected to serve as the new Post Commander.  She will be the first female Commander for Post 1941 to be installed in the post’s 70 year history.
 
Gigi has been a member of the Robert E. Coulter, Jr. Post 1941, American Legion in La Grange for 17 years.  Prior to becoming the current Commander, she has held positions at the Post as Senior Vice Commander, Junior Vice Commander, Public Relations Officer, Building Manager and served on the Post’s Executive committee.  She is the Past Fifth District Commander.  Gigi has traveled worldwide and visited or resided on six continents. She is a proud Alumna of the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service.  She is Vice-President of IPCC, President Emeritus SWANS (IFRW). She is also the proprietor of White Glove Service & More byGeorgi and is an ILCCW and NRA certified instructor.  She is proud to be a wife [of 33 years], mother and daughter. Gigi is retired from the U.S. Navy after serving her country on active duty for 20 years.    

The installation ceremony will also include the following Officers:

Sr. Vice Commander: George Kurtzer; Jr. Vice Commander: Ray Hodson; Adjutant: PC Al Krenz; Finance Officer: PC Joseph Delaloye; Service Officer / Chaplain: Jerry Matuch; Building Trustee: PC William Manders; Executive Committeeman: Fred Hartman; Executive Committeeman: Wally Pidde; PC Executive Committeeman: Len Sherwin; and PC Executive Committeeman: Don Baumgart.
