This edition of Library Look brings us the LaGrange Park Public Library’s Louise Graff, circulation assistant.

Q. How long have you been with the library?

A. 7 years. My daughter had come in for an interview but wasn’t hired because she could only work for the summer. So I interviewed and was hired instead!

Q. What is your favorite part of working at the library? Why?

A. I love the idea of providing a service for people in all walks of life. I used to work in a store and it was all about sales. There is something for everyone at the library.

Q. What is something library patrons may not know about you?

A. I went to college in Wales to study drama and I love to quilt.

Q. What do you think is an underused feature of the library and why?

A. Ordering materials on the library’s website. I love to investigate what quilt books are available from a site like Amazon and then I order them from the library. You can have up to 100 holds!

Q. What is your favorite book and why?

A. “Village School” by Miss Read. It was my mother’s favorite book and so it always brings me comfort and of course, it reminds me of England.
