McDonald’s testing 1-minute service guarantee for drive-thru lanes

Oak Brook-based McDonald’s wants bring speed back to the drive-up window, according to the Chicago Sun-Times:

McDonald’s Corp. seems to be trying to rekindle the meaning of “fast food.”

The Oak Brook hamburger giant is conducting a limited test of a 1-minute service guarantee in drive-thru lanes in South Florida. The restaurants promise to have orders ready within 60 seconds after a customer pays. If not, a customer gets a free menu item on their next visit, The Miami Herald reports.
