Hinsdale Humane Society Pet-A-Palooza to feature local bands

This fall, Hinsdale Humane Society’s Junior Board is hosting the first ever Pet-A-Palooza event from 4-8 p.m. on Sept. 6 on the north lawn of the shelter.

Bands comprised of students from local high schools will perform throughout the evening for a suggested donation of $10, or a shelter wish list item. Performing from 4-5 p.m. is Red Ray Bans from Hinsdale Central High School, from 5-6 p.m. is They Found Us from York High School, from 6-7 p.m. is Willis from York High School, and from 7-8 p.m. is Mammoth Nation from Lyons Township High School.

There will be plenty of food available. Sweet and Savory Spot in Westmont will provide all types of comfort food to purchase along with shaved ice from Kona Ice.

Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged to ensure fun for the whole family, and friendly pets on leashes are always welcomed.

The Hinsdale Humane Society’s Junior Board is a youth-led organization consisting of local high school students dedicated to developing leadership through volunteerism and the promotion of education, awareness of humane treatment of animals and their advocates.
