2. Dog Days of Summer Wine Tasting, 2 p.m. Saturday
Bring your dog to this wine tasting. All proceeds go towards the Hinsdale Human Society. The Village Cellar, 24 W. Chicago Ave., Hinsdale. $5.

3. Swingin’ With the Oldies Ballroom Dance, 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Join host Vito Magrone for a retro-inspired ballroom dance night. Magrone teaches an east coast swing pattern. DJ Sandia plays Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Swing, Hustle, Foxtrot and more. Dress for the era is optional, but dress from the 30s, 40s or 50s eras is encouraged. No prior dance experience is required. Couples and singles welcome. 4. Wine Glass Painting, 11 a.m. Sunday

5. Hummingbird Festival, 8:30 a.m. Saturday

6. Bard in the Park: ‘A Flight of Shakespeare,’ 7 p.m. Friday
The Progressive Village Performance Network’s Bard in the Park Series gives audience members the opportunity to sample an assortment of Shakespeare’s writing. Performances include “Macbeth,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “King Lear,” “Romeo and Juliet” and others. Attendees can bring snacks and beverages. Ty Warner Park, 801 Blackhawk Drive, Westmont. 7. Movie in the Park: ‘Despicable Me 2,’ 8 p.m. Friday
Follow the adventure of Gru, his family and yellow minion friends in the sequel to the hit animation “Despicable Me.” Sedgwick Park, 9600 E. 47th St., La Grange.

8. Kar Wash For Kelli, 10 a.m. Saturday
Light refreshments are available. A raffle drawing is held after the car wash.
