Clarendon Hills Mothers of Preschoolers group sets programs

The Christian Church of Clarendon Hills kicks off its 2014–2015 Mothers of Preschoolers group on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 (identical programming), from 9-11 a.m. each day. All mothers of children ages birth through kindergarten are invited to join and learn about this year’s theme: Be You, Bravely.

MOPS will welcome speaker Jill Savage for the Sept. 25/26 meetings. Savage is the founder and director of Hearts at Home, an organization that encourages moms. She is also an author and speaker who is passionate about encouraging families. Her books include “Professionalizing Motherhood,” “My Heart’s at Home,” “Real Moms …Real Jesus,” “Living with Less So Your Family Has More,” and her most recent bestselling release, “No More Perfect Moms.” Savage has been featured on Focus on the Family, Crosswalk.com, and as the host of the Heartbeat radio program.

Moms are welcome to bring their children to the meetings, where they are cared for in the MOPPETS program. Children hear stories, sing songs and make crafts, while moms get a deserved break.

For over 35 years, MOPS has created communities where moms gather to experience encouragement, support and hope in this season of early mothering. Every mom is welcomed, accepted and inspired to reach her potential and recognize her influence within her family and her world.
