Nazareth students turn the lights out to raise money for American Cancer Society

Students at Nazareth came together for a night of fun and remembrance, and to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Lights Out for Cancer, held May 17, was a one-night event of live music, tournament play, raffles and a memorial service. The event was organized and hosted by the school and open to the public.

On August 12, Nazareth Academy Student Council officers presented at check for $10,500 to Katherine Toraason of the American Cancer Society

“We all know someone — a parent, grandparent, cousin or friend — whose life has been touched by cancer,” said Madison Lozanoski, a senior at Nazareth. “This was a chance for us to come together to make a positive impact.”
