It’s a safe bet that it will be worth your while to bring your children to the free Kids Identification and Safety Seat Event, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 in the parking lot of DuPage Children’s Museum, 301 N. Washington St., Naperville.

Certified passenger safety technicians will do safety seat inspections and installations. In addition, professionals will take photographs and fingerprints of children ages 3 and older for I.D. cards that can be utilized in an emergency.

The event is sponsored by the DuPage Children’s Museum, the Illinois Tollway and State Police District 15.

Take advantage of being on the grounds of the museum to drop in and see the many wonderful, interactive, hands-on exhibits, including AWEsome Electricity and Waterways and Bubbles. From 1-3 p.m., in the new Monumental exhibit, your kids can help build the Temple of Kukulkan and learn how to adorn it with Mayan glyphs.

Museum admission is $11 per person; free to members.
